The joint field survey was conducted from June 28 to June 30.

Prof. Tsuchiya and Tohoku University team have visited El Salvador for the first time in about three years since August 2019. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, both researchers couldn’t travel between Japan and El Salvador long time.

During this visit, a field survey and rock sampling were conducted in the two areas (Ahuachapán, and La Unión).
