Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University (Dean, Tatsuya Kawada) and LaGeo S.A. de C.V. (President, Mynor José Gil Arevalo) of El Salvador signed a Joint Research Agreement on November 28, to conduct joint research on geothermal exploration in general. 

Currently, both parties are conducting joint research on geothermal exploration in El Salvador within the framework of SATRAPS, and this agreement establishes a framework for continued joint research after the completion of the project.
